Chinese cuisine in the Philippines

Unlike Koch significant influence of Spanish and Malay, Chinese cuisine has a staple in the diet of the Philippines.

Most meals in the Philippines is rice, so it was not difficult for Filipinos, the Chinese food from time to time cross. Note that the Filipinos almost always rice in their dishes of the day, whether rice or Yang Chow Fried Rice.

Many favourite dishes of Filipinos are inspired by Chinese cuisine. Some of these Oriental Hits include:

Peking duck - a dish made popular in Beijing roast duck, prepared from the imperial era. It is now considered one of the national courts of China recognized.

Roast pork - marinated with fresh herbs, receives an excellent treatment of this delicious dish in most Chinese restaurants.

Grilled shrimp - fresh seafood, the shrimp from the grill right before your eyes and served with vegetables and sauces.

Poached shrimps - so fresh, are the great king prawns cooked in salted water and served with a sauce of your choice.

Snacks can also take the form of different, easy to eat Chinese delicacies such as Dim Sum known. Which literally means "little snacks" in Cantonese, Dim Sum is a favourite among Filipinos. Examples of these small bites treated Oriental ISMA (dumplings made of pork, beef and shrimp made), turnip cakes, buns, rolls of rice, lotus leaf rice and fried vegetables. Soup made dim sum and congee porridge served as the other liquors also traditionally an appetizer or snack. Not to mention the fried noodles are also popular and SioPao or steamed buns with pork, chicken, beef, shrimp or salted egg filled.

Drinks are the countless forms of tea. They have green tea, oolong tea, black tea, scented tea, white tea, and compressed, among many others.

You will see that it was not for Filipinos to get a taste of China to be incorporated into the menu rarity. During the Chinese New Year is, however, the distinctive Chinese cuisine given more weight than usual. Restaurants such as Café Richmond Ortigas and Eastwood in Quezon City Cafe serves a selection of delicious Chinese cuisine to celebrate the new lunar year.

But this does not mean that expensive Chinese cuisine can be enjoyed on special occasions. Here in the Philippines, Chinese courts can enjoyed all the time, its unique taste can be found everywhere from household to hotels. The country has long been a melting pot of different cultures, it is not surprising as it is an essential place to find authentic Chinese cuisine.
